Bouncy and explosive wing guard with excellent athleticism. Had several highlight reel dunks throughout the day. Excels while attacking the rim and in transition; but also displayed the ability to knock down the mid-range jumper off the dribble. Is currently holding offers and/or receiving significant interest from several D1 and High D2 programs. Poised to have a big senior season; excellent future.
Georgia Stars Select enters the Tournament of Champions having captured the Silver bracket of the Big Shots Georgia Stars event several weeks ago. Many of the players on the roster are from the local Gwinnett County area, familiar with playing at Suwanee Sports Academy. Handling the ball for them is Shamus Goss Jr. who can knock down the three-pointer. They also have forward Ify Imachukwu a 6-foot-2 guard capable of putting a player on a highlight reel because of his explosive hops. Zach Vess will anchor the middle at 6-foot-6 after averaging 18 points for the North Murray Mountaineers. On the Select squad Vess brings a blue-collar work ethic to each game. This team will take the floor against E.A. Prep Sports from Charlotte.
Ify Imachukwu (6’ 2, SG/SF, Duluth, 2013) – Another 2013 talent that was a pleasant surprise. Very athletic and bouncy prospect who gets to the rim easily and then finishes above it. Not afraid to drive the paint and challenge bigger defenders. Excellent fast break player. Has to avoid tendency to take plays off on defensive end. Overall impressive prospect with bright future.
Bryce Wooten, a 2014 6'3" 180lb player out of DULUTH HIGH SCHOOL (GA), is a long and athletic wing that defends well and drives to the basket well. He is scholarship potential player with good bounce and rebounding abilities. Tough player that anticipates well and was one of the top players in attendance.

Bryce Wooten (2014) is a slashing combo guard with a consistent jumper. This Duluth High product is also an excellent finisher at 6-foot-3
The best way to describe Shamus Goss is “tough as nails.” The high energy PG plays with passion, purpose and a full throttle approach. Simply put, he plays the game hard! He has the confidence and demeanor on the court that is fun to watch. He has good quickness and is fearless in attacking the basket. He is a wiling passer and does a good job of getting his teammates involved in the offense. He is a true competitor on the court and winning does matter to him.

Obinna is a super athletic player who has a tremendous upside. He finish well around the basket, is developing a solid mid-range jumper, and is a great shot blocker. He has Bright Future at Duluth High School.
Katie Powell (Duluth, Ga.), Georgia Pistols: At 6-3 Katie Powell has great size and length for a young post player. This weekend she was active on both sides of the ball using her size to control the paint defensively as she looked to block shots and rebound the basketball. As a help defender she is very good when coming over from the weakside and challenging a shot and served as a force in the Georgia Pistols' halfcourt defense. Offensively Powell seems more comfortable stretching the floor and using her perimeter shooting as weapon. Even with her size she is as capable a 3-point shooter as you will find and is comfortable making plays from both the high post as well as on the block. She will have to continue to develop her level and strength and learn to use her size to her advantage, but Powell has a lot of potential down the road.

78 - Katie Powell - Duluth High (Georgia) - 2014
6-3 already with the potential to knock down shots out to 20 feet before she’s done with high school. With her frame and mental makeup, she’ll be more of a skilled post than a banger down low. Powell will need to possess the skill to score inside as well as contribute by rebounding and defending similar post players though.
Romelo is very quick that has great command of the game from the lead guard position, and has great vision to find his teammates for open shots. He also has an improving mid-range shot and is an excellent defender. He was also named as one of the Varsity Team Captains. His leadership and development will be an important key to Duluth’s success this upcoming season.
